Playing with Aperture

we were told to take out a DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) Camera and take some DOF (Depth of Field) shots to experiment for poster backgrounds and general camera knowledge. We were only allowed to use an aperture of 3.5 so i had to get right up close when taking the photos to achieve the correct depth of field, which is basically when you have one thing in focus and then another thing very out of focus and blurred. here are some of my favorite shots.
